Can you believe it's been a year since his passing? It honestly seems like it was just yesterday. Where in the world does the time go?? It moves so quickly! Pplease make sure you tell those in your life what you think of them. That you love them, supportthen, are there for them, that you hate them..whatever you have to say... just communicate and build better relationships because tomorrow we might not get the chance!

Oh wow, DISHIES!!! The week isfinally getting underway! Here is a quick ron down of all of the fun things you should be trying to do to night in our gorgeous city!!

* Keep Houston Rich has joined up with the American Lung Association to host a Happy Hour tonight at Pub Fiction from 5:30 - 7:30. We will be giving away a Keep Houston Rich tee and networking for a good cause!

* Friends of Neuhaus is having a happy hour thievening atSo Vino! Therewill be delicious hors d'oeuvres and pizzas and offering half priced wines by the glass and $5 house red and whites. Go be social and raise a glass to help children learn how to read!!

* Artist SPEAKeasy with BooTown, Critical conversations about art in a casual atmosphere at Winter Street Studios between 6:30 - 9:30

* Craft Night at Caroline Collective!!! Yippeee!! Join your community and Diverseworks to create objects that will be included in the upcoming installation, House of Mind. In addition to contributing to building Houston's biggest button waterfall, book room, and high heel tower, but you will be able to be a part of DiverseWorks history as your work will be part of DW's largest production/installation to date, House of Mind!

Diverseworks also needs 4,000 books, buttons and high heels for the exhibit. If you have any you would like to donate, please bring them to Caroline Collective on Craft Night.

Make sure to wear something you don't mind getting dirty! We are busting out the spray paint and hot glue gun.

The first Craft Night of the 2009 marks the beginning of one of Caroline Collective's 2009 initiatives to log hours of volunteers who donate their time. Reported hours will be used for submission to regional and national service awards.
