Texas based and all around expensive high-end retailer Neiman Marcus is cutting about 400 jobs across America, including 100 in the Dallas area.

Say it ain't so!!!!

It could actually get even worse!!! The organizational review is continuing and could result in more layoffs.

Job cuts are happening at the corporate and store levels, and include Bergdorf Goodman in New York and Neiman Marcus Direct, the retailer's Irving-based catalog and Internet operation.

Last week, the luxury leader said sales at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman stores fell 31.2 percent in December. Weakness was in all merchandise categories and in all regions of the country.

We don't ever want anyone to lost their jobs....on the other hand, we could do with fewer people spraying us with perfume when we walk in the door. Just Sayin'
