On Wednesday, April 16^th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, the Houston Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors will be holding their inaugural fashion event, “Houston is Haute”, at Tootsies on Westheimer. This exciting event will feature a runway show filled with the famous boutique’s latest spring trends and will be emceed by fabulous KPRC Local 2 anchor, Rachel McNeill.

A spring fashion sneak peak is not the only thing on the menu at this glamorous event. ALL proceeds from tickets sales and donations will directly benefit The Women’s Home and their WholeLife^SM model of care. It’s fashion with a heart; fashion with a purpose, and a really fun way to give back.

Only 200 tickets are available for the event, and they’re selling fast. To reserve yours today, go to The Women’s Home website at www.thewomenshome.org and click on the “Houston is Haute” event link. VIP tickets are $50.

Event coordinators are asking guests to bring one or more gently used designer clothing or accessory item for The Women’s Home. Items will be donated to The Home’s thrift store, The Cottage Shop, where 100% of sales go directly back into The Women’s Home’s proven and successful programming. All those donating items will receive a $25 gift certificate to Tootsies.

DISH Publisher Lori Freese has been honored with an invite to be one of the "Stars" for Halo House Foundation 's gala on November 5th at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Halo House Foundation is a non-profit organization serving people with blood cancers by mitigating a large portion of the financial burden associated with the cost of housing during the patient's stay in Houston.

They do this by providing a fully furnished apartment for $20 per day where the person and their family or caregiver can stay from two weeks to two months while receiving active treatment for their cancer.

Referrals to Halo House come from doctors, social workers, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Houston, and Houston's other charitable facilities.

So you can see why DISH wanted to be invloved...but there is another reason...Lori's dance partner! WOW!

Cristiano Callegariis a professional ballroom dancer and coach who helps his students and audience understand the realm of dance. Dance has been the main focus and passion of Cristiano’s life since the age of nine. Padova, a city in northern Italy, is where Cristiano began his training. From this beginning in Padova, Cristiano has received much recognition and fulfilled many opportunities. He pursued his training with the best coaches in the world and soon attained the Italian Ten Dance title for two consecutive years. After success on the competitive dance floor, the Italian Dance Federation requested that he and his partner would participate in the New Latin Expression. Cristiano also won the winning title on a televised ballroom show airing in Italy which led to his employment with the television company for choreography. The Italian Dance Federation also made Cristiano the teacher of  Italian DanceSport Syllabus because of his wisdom and artistry of the figures. Travel soon took Cristiano to southern Italy where he began to establish a substantial amount of business. Within a short time, twenty studios were spread throughout southern Italy. In addition to the dance studios, at this time Cristiano was traveling to Greece and Spain where he coached and judged competitions. Cristiano left a trace of his dance by forming the Mediterranean Open Championship. Cristiano had seen Ballroom dancing in Italy grow so much that he wanted to open new doors. He traveled to the United States in 2005 and immediately began to compete. 

He's absolutely amazing and can make anyone look like they've been dancing their entire lives!

For so many reasons!F First, one of our favorite people, Liz Glanville is partial owner and designer!

Second, they have amazing private truck shows for all kinds of charities, most recently for The Berry Children. This event was typical of DeVille and it's founder Liz Glanville. Three security guards, endless champagne, top notch guests (Caroline Kenny, Sharron Melton, Beth Younger, just to name a few)  and on of Houston's best celebrity photographers, Roswitha Vogler, to capture the event! But it was DIAMONDS, DIAMONDS AND MORE GORGEOUS DIAMONDS!! HEREis one of DISH'S favorites...since our birthday is coming up and all...

Third....You have to love something you're known about since it was sold out of a private home and now is worn by celebs all over the world!

Can you say, J Lo is lucky!! She got to wear DeVille in her latest LÓriel ad and she's never looked better! Those earrings certainly do set her off, don't they?

It was really Theresa Lara, she needed help at an event and DISH was there already so it was no thing to pick up and help out. That's what we are all supposed to do anyway! Well apparently we made her happy because this write up was a huge surprise and sooooo gracious!!! =)

But that's not all....We sent a press release to our old buddy Outlaw Daveabout the FAAN walk DISH is supporting this Saturday and we were not only asked to come talk about it and promote it BUT he asked us to talk about DISH and to be a regular guest on his show!! OMG WE COULD DIE!!! (sorry been watching too much Rachel Zoe)

Needless to say we are UBER grateful and soooooo over the moon excited !
