Kicking off this Monday's great bach of happy news, Home Depot is planning on closing 41 stores and laying off 7,000 workers the company just announced this morning.
Cell phone carrier Sprint announced that they will be cutting 8,000 jobs.
Philips Electronics announced they will be cutting 6,000 jobs.
Caterpillar,earth moving equipment makers,has announced that they are laying off a whopping 20,000 workers.
Also on the chopping block today, Pfizer Inc. has announced that it is buying rival drugmaker Wyeth and plans to cut 8,000 jobs.
