Red Room Under a Blue Moon

Happy New Year at the Red Room!
Of all the fabulous parties going on in Houston this New Year’s Eve, the Red Room was certainly the spot for the hot, young and hip. No full-length gala dresses here or traditional cocktail—all the young ladies were super chic in fashion forward party gear that allowed them to dance the night away and believe me they did. Although tickets were sold out, there was still enough room to move, mingle and dance. The atmosphere was especially fab with red and black balloons blanketing the ceiling over the dance floor and confetti covering the floor. Every table in the house was reserved with bottle service and when the countdown came and the festive pink champagne was being passed around, there were a few people standing on those tables. It was all in good fun—10p.m. to 2a.m. went by in what seemed like an hour and it was time to say goodbye to all our friends. A big thank you to the general manager Brad Stearnes, bar manager James Taylor (a.k.a. “J.T.”), DJ Mike C, security coordinator and my favorite Aussie Dan Green, and of course all the excellent bar staff and cocktail waitresses. Happy 2010!
