The Rat Pack Rocked the Hobby Center Again!

Well, sort of. Momentum Audi, CultureMap, DISH-Houston and a few other really awesome companies sponsored the 4th annual Casino Night benefitting Houston's Health Museum.

The people who actually put the event together with their own sweat and tears however are Health Museum president Jon Iszard, auction chairs Maidie Ryan and Drew Wilson and honorary chair Jared Lang.

The music was swinging the the dice were rolling and Houston's social scene was kicked off with a bang at the Hobby Center. Everyone for the most part wore "Casino Chic" however this year we had one standout in the crowd... Bellaire City Councilman Corbett Parker who broke the mold by hanging out in red pajamas, white robe and shades, unlit cigar in hand. HYSTERICAL!!!

There were some serious poker players in the mix of the fun night on the 4th floor with an extra $100 but that didn't stop the fun downstairs. THe Health Museum really knows how to throw a party with blackjack, craps and the aforementioned poker, high stakes and regular (the high-roller Texas Hold 'Em tournament chaired by Eva Farha. Shawn O'Brien was the first place winner).

It was preceeded with the VIP cocktail Hour in the private room at Artista. The gaming tables surrounded the silent auction where DISH'S very handsome and gracious date bought her the gold and peridot earrings from J.Silver.

Of course with the event at the Hobby Center, the food had to be by the best in town Cordua Catering!

Seen on the Scene:  Uchenna Agu, Lara Bell, Lori Freese, Dustin Palmer, Dr. Roland Maldonado and Joel Bickley, Nick Phillips, Shelby Hodge, Nick Espinosa.

Meet Prada

The Ball Python.

DISH fell in love with this sweet snake at the FLOCK event benefiting the Health Museum at the Houston Zoo Thursday.

Chris was the kind reptile handler who kept bringing the animals out to visit with us flockers. We asked what her name was and he said none of the reptiles had names because there were over 1400 and it would be difficult to remember them all. The problem is, lots of folks fell in like with this hugger. PLUS she has a heart on her!!! Chris was kind enough to let us name her and he even put her name on her feeding card so it really is her name for ever and ever!

DISHIES....Meet PRADA!

We named her that because Prada has so many items made out of her family members that we though it fitting that there was a living python with that name =)

Head over to the Houston Zoo to the reptile exhibit and as to see Prada. She may even come out to give you a hug! =)

P.S. Here is DISHIE Ted Bowen with the Gray-Banded King Snake, these snakes are not poisonous and are impervious to other snake bites like the rattle snake. It's a sweet snake but we didn't name it because it pooped on us =( ...after it sat on Ted's head.
