Manslaughter?

It appears from the outside that police are investigating Michael Jackson's death for possible evidence of manslaughter!

Dr. Conrad Murray, (Houston doctor) who had tried in vain to revive Jackson in his home, has been interviewed by authorities, but is, so far, not considered a suspect, according to authorities.

That didn't stop them from searching the doctor's clinic here in Houston this week however. Authorities seized several items, including "a forensic image" of a computer hard drive and 21 documents.

Police, of course, are keeping mum on the subject.

Although Murray is not considered a suspect at this time, his attorney claims the doctor has been subjected to intense public retribution, saying that he,

"Is frustrated by negative and often erroneous media reports, he has to walk around 24-7 with a bodyguard. He can't operate his practice. He can't go to work because he is harassed no matter where he goes."

He went on to say,

"Based on Dr. Murray's minute-by-minute and item-by-item description of Michael Jackson's last days, he should not be a target of criminal charges"

Adding that the records seizure is to further clear up the coroner's investigation.

Murray is currently at his home in Vegas and so far neither his home nor his office there has been searched.

The DEA is involved in the case, which could indicate they are looking for drugs that crossed state lines.
