New Art and Dead Things

This evening is the opening for the Big Show at the Lawndale Art Centre from 6:30- 8:30.

The Big Show is Lawndale Art Center’s annual open-call, juried exhibition.
It has been an important venue through which emerging and under-represented Houston area artists gain exposure since the show’s conception in 1984. The Big Show was formerly the East End Show, sponsored by the East End Progress Association, at Lawndale’s original location.

Then you can head over the Museum of Natural Science for Mixer & Elixers. It's from 6 - 10 pm. It's sponsored by, among others, Momentum Audi! It's Houston's young professional crowd, having snacks and drinks amid big dino bones AND another timeless dinosaur will be represented...the Fab 5 will be entertaining us with music tonight so be ready to get your Beatle on!

If neither of these activities seems to get you moving, check out the DOG DISH for Yappy Hour information! =) Its always a fun time too!
