Van Halen's issues resurfacing...

Rumors are swirling that hotel reservations are being canceled right and left for the remainder of the tour. Did we really think they could keep it together this long? Perfection can't last i guess...sad. Especially since Eddie's son is on the tour with them listening to all of the bad mouthing he is no doubt doing about Val. I can't honestly say I would not some massive issues with her if i were in his shoes. You can't get very far from people in a hotel room, back stage or on a tour bus so you know that poor Wolfie is hearing some of his dad's ranting. Where do you go to blow off steam on tour when you are "sober"?  After all, it's been publicly admitted that he need to back on tour because the divorce was bleeding him dry. Now that she's all over Oprah and whom ever else will listen saying he cheated (she did too btw), I'm sure it's not helping his stress level (stay clean, Eddie!!). On one hand, people have to go on with their lives, rebuild, start over, etc so she should be able to rebuild her career however she sees fit. But I am not sure what the need for the tell all book was. Therapy? You could have kept it between you and your therapist, or your girlfriends and a bottle of wine. Writing a journal can be cathartic, but is publishing your nasty marriage details necessary? hhmm. So I guess I am saying Val is indirectly adding to the increased stress to Eddie and Wolfie on tour and that will increase the stress on Dave and the others....so....well....I'm just sayin'

What do you think, Houston? Comment away!

I'm Rubber, You're Glue, Nanny Nanny Boo Boo

Honestly, Obama? Has it come to this? When faced with some questions a little more hard hitting than fluffy puppies and rainbows he fought back with the childhood banter equivalent of "it doesn't matter what I have because she doesn't have it either". I'm kind of surprised he didn't stick his tongue out and wiggles his fingers by his ears.

Really? How about this, we all work towards the same goal and accomplish good things together? I realise that fairly Utopian, but if the people running for the same ticket can't get along, what makes you think they will be able to work together after the election? And they will have to.... They are both senators.

P.S. Has anyone seen the Spanish commercials or heard the Spanish songs for these two campaigns? You have to be kidding me.

Recycle Houston, If You Can Find Where and How...

I am a recycler..and I don't mind telling you that here in the City of Houston, it's a HUGE pain in the recycling bin to recycle. If you want to participate you have to take it to a specific place yourself. That's fine because I live in an apartment complex. (although there should be financial incentive if not forced multi person housing recycling participation). But the real issue is (and I pray to all things that are Holy that this is wrong and I'm still checking) that only 27,000 homes get the curbside service?? So i guess that means make sure when home shopping that you buy one of those. Out of those 27,000 homes, however, only about 1000 of those can get biweekly curbside recycling pick up. THIS CAN'T BE RIGHT!? And the city is BOASTING about that "huge" number on their website. Out of a city of more than 4.5 Million people, how does that make sense? SHAME ON YOU MAYOR WHITE! There are 92 zip codes in the H-Town area only 58 are offered curbside recycling programs. Now on that site, you can find the closest location to you where you can drop off your recycling, but keep in mind that not all of those accept glass so you may have to have more than one stop on your weekly recycling drop off trip. It's a pain, but it's worth it. Now, let's just hope it's actually being recycled and we don't end up with the same embarrassment Britain did!

You know, when the City and Mayor White did a Go Green Houston campaign, H-E-B stepped up. But that still doesn't explain why the H-E-B owned Central "I'm so natural and organic" Market doesn't participate. Am I still missing something??

What a Proud Moment

Jamie Lynn Spears passed her GED test! The pregnant 16 year old is trying to prove to the world that she really IS smart by passing the high school equivalency test two years before most people pass actual high school! WOW...that's impressive.

L'idiot

ldiot.jpg

The beautiful French actress who won the best actress Oscar this year is a little slow. Marion Cotillard, who walked around the red carpet doing pre-Oscar interviews with lipstick on her teeth, has come out saying 9/11 and the moon walk were not real. Yes, the young Frenchie obviously skipped school to learn her craft and got all of her education from television shows (her words). HHMM. Another example of why we should educate our children rather than let the idiot box babysit them. I'm just sayin'.
