E-Cycling This Weekend, Thanks to KTRK

DISH LOVES KTRK CHANNEL 13!!! They are really picking up the GREEN flag and running with it! If you have any E-Cycling, take it over to their studios this Friday! (Before you head over to tennis)

E-Cycle Drive Friday April 18th from 6am - 2pm at the Channel 13 studio located at 3310 Bissonnet

Electronics
Items accepted free of charge at the drive are all computer related items such as;
1) CPU
2) Monitors
3) Keyboards,
4) Mice
5) Router/hubs/switches
6) Laptops
7) Printers
8) Faxes
9) Power cords
10) All cords such as Ethernet, printer cable, USB cable etc.
11) Cell phones
12) UPS (Un-interrupted Power supply)
13) Servers
14) Telephone and switches
15) Computer motherboards, finger boards

The following items should be excluded from the drive;
1) Any type of TV
2) Microwaves
3) Dumb terminals (used as viewing device for main frame)
4) Monochrome monitors (Black and white, old monitors, single color)
5) Household electrical items.
6) Only one pick up truck load of items allowed per household (Normally household computer items are not that many and hence more is considered commercial)
People often confuse electrical items such as toaster, grill, vacuum etc as e-waste.

*People donating computer equipment to the KTRK E-Cycle Drive are encouraged to erase or remove the hard drive and any other media that may contain personal information. KTRK Television Inc is not responsible for donated computer equipment or its handling by any third-party recycling companies or organizations.

Televisions
City of Houston will accept TVs at the Westpark Center.
Residents can also check online for TV repair shops. Sometimes shops will accept the TV to use for spare parts.
